Yin Yoga Foundations Training – Level I & II

This training will introduce students to the experiential and philosophical application of the receptive Yin style of practicing yoga. To provide context and contrast, we will also investigate a dynamic Yang style of practice using both Taoist and vinyasa forms. We will explore the purpose, method and effects of these contemplative practices on the body, the heart and the mind through the lens of mindfulness meditation.

This intensive will cultivate confidence and competence for sharing the practice as a teacher and also provide a solid foundation for home practice. This training is suitable for aspiring and certified Yoga teachers, therapeutic practitioners, fitness professionals and yoga students who are interested in expanding their understanding of this profound collection of practices in universal balance, human energetics, embodied wisdom and spiritual evolution.

Yoga & Meditation Retreat

In removing ourselves from our familiar surroundings and busy schedules, retreats afford us the opportunity to see accumulated habits of distraction which build an internal wall between ourselves and our experience.

Perpetuated by externalized consciousness, these unconscious patterns of unaware living shield us from the inherent simple joy of our true nature, our uncontrived naturalness. Sufis call this primordial aspect our Hidden Essence, Hindus say the Self or Brahman, Buddhists refer to this as our Buddha nature, and others say inner spirit or God.

Devoted dedication to a yogic path of awareness uncovers this inner nature, while teaching us about the suffering inherent in our perceived (not actual) disconnection from wholeness. In inner silence and stillness we may glimpse a truth larger than our self definitions allow.

200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training

We are thrilled to invite you to be a part of the inaugural Teacher Training offered by yogini and award winning fitness professional Marla Ericksen, in conjunction with Empower ME Yoga. This training meets the requirements for registration with Yoga Alliance as an RYT® 200. Successful candidates will be qualified to teach various forms and levels of yoga under the interdisciplinary classification for Hatha Yoga; including but not limited to level variations of: Hot Yoga, Power Yoga, Classical Hatha, Restorative Yoga, Vinyasa Flow and Fitness-based Yoga. This training is appropriate for aspiring teachers as well as dedicated students who are interested in deepening their practice and understanding of Yoga.
